The Name’s Malunggay, But You Can Call Me Moringa It sounds made up.. But we promise it’s not. Malunggay, or Moringa oleifera (or oftentimes simply Moringa), is a tree. More specifically, it is a tree that has been used for healing purposes for over 1000 years. It is utilized within the disciplines of Ayurveda (a traditional Indian healing system) and Unani (a traditional Middle Eastern healing system) and can survive in tropical, subtropical, and even semi-arid climates. Native to India, malunggay is now grown in many parts of the world, including Arizona and Hawaii.  Historically, malunggay has served a number of purposes including everything from building materials, to cooking ingredients, to an immunity boost. Among its many uses, malunggay is also said to increase breast milk production in nursing moms. (You came to the right place!) In addition, malunggay is very rich in nutrients. It delivers over 90 total nutrients, with approximately 46 types of antioxidants, 36 anti-inflammatory compounds, and 20 amino acids. Malunggay is rich in vitamins A, B, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, and E, plus potassium, iron, calcium, and more. Why not boost your nutrients while you boost your milk supply?  Although the malunggay plant can take many forms, Milkflow Malunggay’s formula is unique in that each capsule contains recommended levels of malunggay (350 mg). In other words, you get enough malunggay to boost milk supply with only 4 capsules per day.*
Real, Plant-Based Ingredients  The ingredients in Milkflow capsules are about as natural as they come - grown in the ground, not created in a lab. Milkflow Malunggay Capsules contain Malunggay Leaf Extract (aka moringa leaf extract), an herb known to help with milk supply plus a proprietary blend of four herbs to aid with digestion: ginger root, anise seed, orange peel and lemon balm leaf (mmm).
You don’t want to feed chemicals to your baby. We don’t want to feed them to you. You won’t find any artificial ingredients in Milkflow Malunggay Capsules. You won’t find any GMOs, either (which kind of falls under the category of artificial, but we thought you’d want to know). No gluten, no artificial ingredients, and no fillers, either.
What is malunggay? Malunggay (aka moringa) is a tree whose leaves act as a natural galactagogue (breast milk booster) among many other uses, historically. In addition, malunggay is rich in nutrients, including potassium, calcium, vitamin A, vitamin C, protein, and iron.  Why is digestive support included in a breast milk formula? In order for herbal galactagogues (or any nutrients) to work well, they have to be absorbed properly. Some moms find that they need extra support to ensure this happens. Your body also needs a healthy, nutrient-rich diet to make quality milk for your baby. The botanical digestive blend (ginger root, anise seed, orange peel, and lemon balm leaf) help your body to absorb all nutrients optimally, to help you produce plentiful amounts of high quality milk.  When should I start taking a Milkflow product?  Take it any time you want to boost breast milk production after your baby is born.  Can I take Milkflow Malunggay Capsules while I’m pregnant? As with any supplement, you should discuss product use with your healthcare provider during pregnancy. How long does it take for Milkflow Malunggay Capsules to work?  Metabolisms vary but you may see a difference within the first week.* Can I take Milkflow Malunggay Capsules alongside other Milkflow products? Yes.  The herbs in each of our Milkflow products act a little bit differently, so there is no reason why they can’t be used together!  If you have any questions always be sure to consult a healthcare professional.
