Real Science
Goat’s Rue: Maaama’s Favorite Breast Milk Supplement Goat’s Rue, or galega offinalis, is an herb that originated in Europe and the Middle East. It was first discovered by Gillet-Damitte, a French dairy farmer (oui oui), back in the late 1800s. He noticed that by feeding his cows goat’s rue, he could increase their milk production by up to 35%. Lucky for us, the breast milk boosting effect extends beyond just cows. Today, Goat’s Rue is used internationally by breastfeeding mothers to promote increased milk supply! (human mothers, that is!) In addition to serving as a natural galactagogue (breast milk booster), goat’s rue also helps to maintain breast health while nursing and lactating. It is also known to stimulate the development of breast tissue by increasing prolactin levels. For this reason, goat’s rue may be especially helpful for adoptive mothers and moms who have previously had breast surgeries.* Although the goat’s rue plant can take many forms, Milkflow Goat’s Rue formula is unique in that each serving contains recommended levels of goat’s rue (900 mg). In other words, you get enough goat’s rue to boost milk supply with only 3-6 capsules per day.*
What's Inside
Real, Plant-Based Ingredients  The ingredients in Milkflow capsules are about as natural as they come - grown in the ground, not created in a lab. Milkflow Goat’s Rue Capsules contain Goat’s Rue Leaf Extract, an herb known to help with milk supply plus a proprietary blend of four herbs to aid with digestion: ginger root, anise seed, orange peel and lemon balm leaf (mmm).
What's not Inside
You don’t want to feed chemicals to your baby. We don’t want to feed them to you. You won’t find any artificial ingredients in Milkflow Goat’s Rue Capsules. You won’t find any GMOs, either (which kind of falls under the category of artificial, but we thought you’d want to know). No gluten, no artificial ingredients, and no fillers, either.
Faq's
What is goat’s rue? Goat’s rue is an herb that acts as a natural galactagogue (breast milk booster) and helps maintain breast health while nursing. It is also known to help stimulate the development of mammary tissue.*   Why is digestive support included in a breast milk formula? In order for herbal galactagogues (or any nutrients) to work well, they have to be absorbed properly. Some moms find that they need extra support to ensure this happens. Your body also needs a healthy, nutrient-rich diet to make quality milk for your baby. The botanical digestive blend (ginger root, anise seed, orange peel, and lemon balm leaf) help your body to absorb all nutrients optimally, to help you produce plentiful amounts of high quality milk.    When should I start taking a Milkflow product?  Take it any time you want to boost breast milk production after your baby is born.  Can I take Milkflow Goat’s Rue Capsules while I’m pregnant? Goat’s rue is the precursor to metformin, which is taken during pregnancy. However, as with any supplement, you should discuss product use with your healthcare provider during pregnancy. How long does it take for Milkflow Blessed Thistle Capsules to work?  Metabolisms vary but you may see a difference within the first week.*   Can I take these with other Milkflow products? Yes.  The herbs in each of our Milkflow products act a little bit differently, so there is no reason why they can’t be used together!  If you have any questions always be sure to consult a healthcare professional.
