How To Use Milkflow Goat’s Rue Capsules for Lactation Support
Take 1-2 capsule, 3 times daily. Discuss product use with a healthcare professional during pregnancy. Sizing Info: 60 capsules/bottle (30 servings/bottle)
Goat’s Rue, or galega offinalis, is an herb that originated in Europe and the Middle East. It was first discovered by Gillet-Damitte, a French dairy farmer (oui oui), back in the late 1800s. He noticed that by feeding his cows goat’s rue, he could increase their milk production by up to 35%. Lucky for us, the breast milk boosting effect extends beyond just cows. Today, Goat’s Rue is used internationally by breastfeeding mothers to promote increased milk supply! (human mothers, that is!) In addition to serving as a natural galactagogue (breast milk booster), goat’s rue also helps to maintain breast health while nursing and lactating. It is also known to stimulate the development of breast tissue by increasing prolactin levels. For this reason, goat’s rue may be especially helpful for adoptive mothers and moms who have previously had breast surgeries.*
Although the goat’s rue plant can take many forms, Milkflow Goat’s Rue formula is unique in that each serving contains recommended levels of goat’s rue (900 mg). In other words, you get enough goat’s rue to boost milk supply with only 3-6 capsules per day.*
Goat’s rue is an herb that acts as a natural galactagogue (breast milk booster) and helps maintain breast health while nursing. It is also known to help stimulate the development of mammary tissue.*
In order for herbal galactagogues (or any nutrients) to work well, they have to be absorbed properly. Some moms find that they need extra support to ensure this happens. Your body also needs a healthy, nutrient-rich diet to make quality milk for your baby. The botanical digestive blend (ginger root, anise seed, orange peel, and lemon balm leaf) help your body to absorb all nutrients optimally, to help you produce plentiful amounts of high quality milk.
Take it any time you want to boost breast milk production after your baby is born.
Goat’s rue is the precursor to metformin, which is taken during pregnancy. However, as with any supplement, you should discuss product use with your healthcare provider during pregnancy.
Metabolisms vary but you may see a difference within the first week.*
Yes. The herbs in each of our Milkflow products act a little bit differently, so there is no reason why they can’t be used together! If you have any questions always be sure to consult a healthcare professional.
